Visit from Hamburg ♥ Little June haul

Hey Gals! (。・ε・。)

Today, my dear Nadine visited me in Berlin! ♥ (‐^▽^‐)

I really looked forward to it, because we haven't seen each other for a longer time.

Because of the strange temperature and weather I really had problems to choose what to wear today and I had all kind of things in my bag like extra socks, leggings, a top in case it gets colder. xD

I really made a bad face... just deleting it.
I also left out the flower hair accessoire afterwards,
so please don't mind this!

(But you may see that my hair is shorter again...
If I style it right it's almost like Yamazaki Miyu from GALS! (〃∇〃)
It wasn't on purpose though. -w

I picked her up at central station and the first thing we wanted to do is shopping at Forever 21 since she doesn't have this shop in Hamburg and she also was the one who told me about it here in Berlin.  -w

We both found some nice stuff and then continued walking down the shopping street at Zoologischer Garten.

☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*

Afterwards we were so hungry that we went to the "Ishin Tey" Japanese restaurant I wanted to try out since the other one in Friedrichstraße was nice and we didn't want to eat sushi.

So just a short review:

 Atmosphere

You can sit outside and inside. If you want to sit outside you can eat in silence and without a lot of curious looks from others.
The inside is designed traditionally. On the walls are on one side faked wooden windowframes with paper "glasses" as you may know it from traditional Japanese restaurants.

 Menue

Here you have some great lunch menues with yakitori, tempura or other specialities, rice and side dishes but also of course sushi.
If you like Don or Cey-Ro there are a lot of options to choose from. You also can have stews or different kinds of miso soup.
There is a large amount of cold and warm appetizer.

We both chosen Gomae as a cold appetizer - that's spinach with sesame sauce - very delicious! The spinach was pretty fresh, crunchy and the sesame sauce wasn't too much or too less. The waiter also served some specific Japanese salt to make it spicier. Good choice!

As real lunch we decided for Cey-Ro Yakitori.
The chicken was very smooth and tasted too good! The rice was cooked well and the side dishes also fresh, crunchy or just yummy (Esp. the tamagoyaki and shiitake)

☆ Prices

Take a look here for further informations.

☆ Service

The waiters and waiteresses are really politely and they try to take excellent care of you.
You also got the free green tea here but there is no possibility to fill water again, but that's okay, since it's for free.
Serving time is fast and they really give you the feeling that you are an absolutely welcomed customer!

Then we went to Neo Tokyo because of spotting some magazines but before we stopped at the photoautomat to take some classical slide pictures. <3 (〃∇〃)

I just love such old fashion stuff and what a pity that these beautiful automats got almost extinct! (T_T)

☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*

At Neo Tokyo I found a new magazine I haven't bought before.
I will show you some pages of "Cutie" the next time, I guess. (^__^)

I also bought the new one shot by Tanemura Arina. (〃∇〃)
I love her artwork and the whole manga seems to be an artbook instead. - w
It's about the boygroup "Fudanjuku" - indeed girls crossdressing as boys.
Weird thing but something I haven't read before so I needed this book for my collection.  (haha)

☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*

Then we just walked to Mamecha café and had some tea and dessert.

As for Nadine she ordered Matcha Latte and strawberry-pancake-cake. (Which was so delicious!)
I ordered some Matcha with anko sweets. ♥
We had some great time there, talking, watching people, flipping through the pages of the magazines until it was time to go because of her train back home. (T_T)

They not only have a whole collection of the japanese
"One Piece" manga but also a lot of fashion magazines. ♥

Got my Matcha and some bean sweets

The iced matcha latte always looks great...

... and the strawberry pancake was excellent. ♥

☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*

Saying goodbye and on my own way home, I stopped by the shopping mall, because I still want to have a nice maxi dress.
But the only "resort" things I've seen were overdesigned pants, leggings and shirts.
Not my style.

So I will look on the internet again... ヽ( )`ε´( )ノ

JELLY 07/2013 issue

Hello-hello! ♫

Bought the mag two weeks ago I haven't got the time so far to show me my favourite parts of the July issue.

The recent JELLY issues have been very colorful and so is this one!
As a big part the headline tells you about the denim trend (I don't like the chosen pieces so I won't show you something about it) but in my opinion the best part was the news about resort and edgy style which came up right now.

Since seeing these maxidresses I also want one!

I usually don't like such patterned pants but these ones here are pretty cool!

These are much more casual ones of the edgy style.
Actually the whole stuff isn't my thing at all - just these parts here.

Emoda also shows some nice outfits for the "resort" theme in their look book.

☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*

Another big part was about more natural makeup.

As for me that's totally fine (except the fading of eye liner) but see what are the before and after images like!
Which one do you prefer?

Some pictures really show slightly a difference

☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*

And maybe you already noticed the clear nails style?
JELLY also shows some possibilities.
I like the pink ones most.

+

I definitely don't like it that much because in my opinion nails should
always be coloured completely but I have already seen some really nice
nail arts with the clear aspect.

☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*

And one last statement:

Mari looks so cute and pretty with her bob hair style!

Meet up with friends / Jap. restaurant "Ishin"

Hello Gals! (‐^▽^‐)

For today it was planned to go to the cinema, watching "The Host" but unfortunately they changed the programme again and so we couldn't. (T_T)

But the good thing was:
We had enough time eating dinner in a  nice restaurant called Ishin. ♥
There are various places to find one of these restaurants. ^^
We went to the one near Friedrichstraße.

☆* Review *☆

 Atmosphere

The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice but it feels a bit like being in a canteen.

It has simple structures and simple very simple design.
You may like it or not.

 Menue

The menue has a lot of different kind of maki and nigiri.
You also will find don and a lot of side dishes or starters.
But my favourite page was the one with the desserts as I really love pâtisserie, etc.
Finally one restaurant, where you can eat Taiyaki or Purin.

The sweet potatoes with honey and sesame were really delicious. <3
We also had some nice warm sake. ♥

☆ Prices

The prices are okay as you can see in the online menue card on the website.
I have seen restaurants with higher prices and some with lower ones.
If you order some dishes with your friends it's probably the best option you have to have a lot and pay less.
The next time I will visit another Ishin restaurant, because the menue differs from each shop. ^^

☆ Service

All in all it is a nice possibility to eat Japanese - you even got a green tea for free you can brew again and again.
That's nice service.

The waiters are really organized. One is for orders, one for serving and one for cleaning up.
They serve pretty fast sou you won't wait long for your order.

So it was an awesome afternoon with my dear friends, Viki, Lisa and jassi. (^__^)

We also were lucky that after trying to take a photo by ourselves a woman stopped by and did this to us. /

The weather was awesome and I found some new places in Berlin I haven't known before.

Ok, this place I've been before but not around that ankle!

☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*

Tomorrow is CSD - Christopher Street Day.

I am looking forward to it because the atmosphere really is great and in my opinion the message behind this day is very important to!

Let's see if I can make it there~ (_ _)
Right now I'm just so tired from early shift and strolling through town.

Oh, and I definitely look forward to next weekend. ♥

My friend Nadine will visit me and we have to do a lot of things - I guess, I will surprise her with something. Haha. ♥

Mittwoch, 19. Juni 2013

Dear Gals,

today I had a day off (tomorrow too) and so I decided to go out, meeting a friend. ^^
It was very hot in Berlin, but nevertheless I didn't want to stay at home, since it was so sunny. ♥

Because it was very hot I first wanted to wear a dress but I prefered shortpants this time.
Moreover I wanted to wear my leo tube top for the first time and so I combined it like the following.
The black bolero was pretty warm but because I easily get sunburned it's the better option. ^^;

My Ayu pendant was wih me another time.

I backcombed my hair slightly because it always
looks too flat since I let it grow and there isn't any haircut
in it at all.

☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*

Because I was early, I decided to go to AnnChristine, a shop I have often been but never found anything.
I met Tanja there by accident and so we just countinued looking through everything.

In the end she got a shoulder free shirt and I bought a nice bikini for 15€.
I always wanted to have  a second one but finding some well fitting seems difficult.

Afterwards we went to a small restaurant/bar around Hackesche Höfe to have a break, talked a lot about future plans & co. (haha) and then returned to her home.
Ordering some sushi online we just watched a nice movie and had yummy dinner within 30 minutes.

The only negative aspect of today was my way home.
Because the freaking bus didn't come at all I was stung by a lot of midges.
How I hate them! (T_T)

It really was a funny day! ♥

The traditional "Hiyoko" sweets

Hello my dear gals! (‐^▽^‐)

Because I have to work alsmost a whole week again there aren't any special things I can talk about.
So it's another post about favourite Japanese sweets I recommend to you! (‐^▽^‐)

This time it's "Cha-hiyoko" - the sweetest chicken to eat. ♥

I'm very grateful to Shin-kun, that he introduced me to Hiyoko - some really yummy Japanese sweets since 100 years! ♥
So the anniversary has just been last year. ^^

First I wasn't sure WHAT it is... but thanks to Japanese vocabulary... it's a young chicken! (〃∇〃)

And there is some history behind the long, long ongoing story of hiyoko...
Please take a look by yourself here.
It is told that the creator wanted to have some sweets that both adult and children like.
Moreover sweets were some energy sources for the workers in mines and cakes were also a nice gift for transactions in other cities, etc.

The outside reminds of some soft cake or soft buiscuit and the inside... is filled with matcha-créme!  ♥

You can get various package versions of these sweets but my ones were packed as triples. ^^

As you may know Japan really waste a lot of paper, plastic, etc. for packaging - but still it's always wrapped nicely.
Furthermore you just can eat one and lay the others aside - they won't dry. :)

I really recommend these sweets to you, if you like matcha and can buy some or get some of them send to you.
Please look for it, when you will travel to Japan someday! (●´ω`●)ゞ

I hope that Hiyoko-sweets will remain among civilisation for a long, long time!

Meet up with a friend & eating yummy sushi

Dear gals! ゜゚*☆

today I met up a good friend I haven't seen for a long time.

We checked local shops for dresses and shirts for her but didn't find anything.
Just absolutely the wrong stores. (T_T)

In the end we ended up at our favourite spot: our vietnamese-japanese restaurant called Mikoto.
The sushi taste great, the teriyaki or sake-don as well and it's pretty cheap! (≧▽≦)
You should try if you can. ^^

I had some sake-avocado (salmon-avocado), shiitake (sweet japanese mushroom), tamago (egg) and gome (spinach) maki rolls.

This is one of my favourite combinations, eating sushi.
The mango-lassi was as great as always.

☆*゚ ゜゚*☆*゚ ゜゚*

Because it was warm enough, it was time to wear my strawberry dress for the first time. ♥
I really love it since the fabric is such a light and comfortable one.

And my small totebag was pretty handy since I always need to take a big bottle of water with me.
(I'm a Vittel junkie, I admit it!)
