Meet up with friends / Jap. restaurant "Ishin"

Hello Gals! （‐＾▽＾‐）

For today it was planned to go to the cinema, watching "The Host" but unfortunately they changed the programme again and so we couldn't. (T_T)

But the good thing was:

We had enough time eating dinner in a  nice restaurant called Ishin. ♥
There are various places to find one of these restaurants. ^^

We went to the one near Friedrichstraße.

☆ Atmosphere

The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice but it feels a bit like being in a canteen.

It has simple structures and simple very simple design.

You may like it or not.

☆ Menue

The menue has a lot of different kind of maki and nigiri.

You also will find don and a lot of side dishes or starters.

But my favourite page was the one with the desserts as I really love pâtisserie, etc.

Finally one restaurant, where you can eat Taiyaki or Purin.

The sweet potatoes with honey and sesame were really delicious. <3

We also had some nice warm sake. ♥

☆ Prices

The prices are okay as you can see in the online menue card on the website.

I have seen restaurants with higher prices and some with lower ones.

If you order some dishes with your friends it's probably the best option you have to have a lot and pay less.

The next time I will visit another Ishin restaurant, because the menue differs from each shop. ^^

☆ Service

All in all it is a nice possibility to eat Japanese - you even got a green tea for free you can brew again and again.

That's nice service.

The waiters are really organized. One is for orders, one for serving and one for cleaning up.

They serve pretty fast sou you won't wait long for your order.

So it was an awesome afternoon with my dear friends, Viki, Lisa and jassi. (^__^)

We also were lucky that after trying to take a photo by ourselves a woman stopped by and did this to us. /

The weather was awesome and I found some new places in Berlin I haven't known before.

Ok, this place I've been before but not around that ankle!

Tomorrow is CSD - Christopher Street Day.

I am looking forward to it because the atmosphere really is great and in my opinion the message behind this day is very important to!

Let's see if I can make it there~ (_ _)

Right now I'm just so tired from early shift and strolling through town.

Oh, and I definitely look forward to next weekend. ♥

My friend Nadine will visit me and we have to do a lot of things - I guess, I will surprise her with something. Haha. ♥

Dear Gals,

today I had a day off (tomorrow too) and so I decided to go out, meeting a friend. ^^

It was very hot in Berlin, but nevertheless I didn't want to stay at home, since it was so sunny. ♥

Because it was very hot I first wanted to wear a dress but I prefered shortpants this time.

Moreover I wanted to wear my leo tube top for the first time and so I combined it like the following.

The black bolero was pretty warm but because I easily get sunburned it's the better option. ^^;

  

My Ayu pendant was wih me another time.

I backcombed my hair slightly because it always

looks too flat since I let it grow and there isn't any haircut

in it at all.

Because I was early, I decided to go to AnnChristine, a shop I have often been but never found anything.

I met Tanja there by accident and so we just countinued looking through everything.

In the end she got a shoulder free shirt and I bought a nice bikini for 15€.

I always wanted to have  a second one but finding some well fitting seems difficult.

Afterwards we went to a small restaurant/bar around Hackesche Höfe to have a break, talked a lot about future plans & co. (haha) and then returned to her home.

Ordering some sushi online we just watched a nice movie and had yummy dinner within 30 minutes.

The only negative aspect of today was my way home.

Because the freaking bus didn't come at all I was stung by a lot of midges.

How I hate them! (T_T) 

It really was a funny day! ♥

The traditional "Hiyoko" sweets

Hello my dear gals! （‐＾▽＾‐）

Because I have to work alsmost a whole week again there aren't any special things I can talk about.

So it's another post about favourite Japanese sweets I recommend to you! （‐＾▽＾‐）

This time it's "Cha-hiyoko" - the sweetest chicken to eat. ♥

I'm very grateful to Shin-kun, that he introduced me to Hiyoko - some really yummy Japanese sweets since 100 years! ♥

So the anniversary has just been last year. ^^

First I wasn't sure WHAT it is... but thanks to Japanese vocabulary... it's a young chicken! (〃∇〃)

And there is some history behind the long, long ongoing story of hiyoko...

It is told that the creator wanted to have some sweets that both adult and children like.

Moreover sweets were some energy sources for the workers in mines and cakes were also a nice gift for transactions in other cities, etc.

The outside reminds of some soft cake or soft buiscuit and the inside... is filled with matcha-créme!  ♥

You can get various package versions of these sweets but my ones were packed as triples. ^^

As you may know Japan really waste a lot of paper, plastic, etc. for packaging - but still it's always wrapped nicely.

Furthermore you just can eat one and lay the others aside - they won't dry. :)

I really recommend these sweets to you, if you like matcha and can buy some or get some of them send to you.

Please look for it, when you will travel to Japan someday! (●´ω｀●)ゞ

I hope that Hiyoko-sweets will remain among civilisation for a long, long time!

Meet up with a friend & eating yummy sushi

Dear gals! ゜ﾟ*☆ 

today I met up a good friend I haven't seen for a long time.

We checked local shops for dresses and shirts for her but didn't find anything.

Just absolutely the wrong stores. (T_T)

In the end we ended up at our favourite spot: our vietnamese-japanese restaurant called Mikoto.

The sushi taste great, the teriyaki or sake-don as well and it's pretty cheap! (≧▽≦)

You should try if you can. ^^

I had some sake-avocado (salmon-avocado), shiitake (sweet japanese mushroom), tamago (egg) and gome (spinach) maki rolls.

This is one of my favourite combinations, eating sushi.

The mango-lassi was as great as always.

Because it was warm enough, it was time to wear my strawberry dress for the first time. ♥

I really love it since the fabric is such a light and comfortable one.

And my small totebag was pretty handy since I always need to take a big bottle of water with me.

(I'm a Vittel junkie, I admit it!)

Forever 21 store opened in Berlin !! ♥

My dear Gals,

how have you been recently?! (＝⌒▽⌒＝)

Yesterday I wanted to spend my day in Düsseldorf, because I have some days off, but thanks to the high water in East Germany I only got to a small town within three hours and it took three hours back to Berlin...
So I had to postpone the trip.

BUT:

Three days ago a new store opened in Berlin.
This isn't really an exciting issue... unless it's the opening of a FOREVER 21 store!! ♥

My friend Nadine told me about it (I always don't know the big news in my own city ... haha ^^;) and I was pretty excited how it will be.

The store has four floors (it was a big bookstore before) and a lot of workers (German and English) are there for helping you, cashiering and tidying up all the clothes.

The last point is pretty important because therefore you don't have to wait long for a changing room.
They organise you one fast and with system.

Oh and more important: The changing rooms are really big!! That's great! ♥

The first and the second are for women only, the third is the floor for men's clothes and the fourth contains lingerie, accessories and shoes.

First it reminds me a lot of H&M and I already was a bit disappointed because there were too many stripes, too many crosses and too many ethnic pattern clothes.

But then I find some nice goods I bought and lots of things that I tried on.

I liked the small totebag too much. <3

Else: black over knee socks, an antique pink belt and hairband.

A cute short dress with lace and a gradient pullover.

The last one was a happy catch because it was the last one and I only saw another one in a much smaller size. ♥

All in all for 55€!

YOU 2013 Berlin

Hello gals! (^__^) ☆*ﾟ ゜ﾟ

Today I went with a friend to the event YOU here in Berlin.

As you may heard of it, it's a convention for the youth.
I felt quite a bit old - haha.

It was my first time visiting this event and I didn't know what to expect but it was really nice.
Except the shrieking teenies from time to time.

☆*ﾟ ゜ﾟ*☆*ﾟ ゜ﾟ*

My outfit for today was the following, just add the white sneakers please.
It's pretty casual but the weather was also so ugly and cold... 

But I was able to wear my new necklace from my penpal and my favourite pierces.

 

I also tried out some braid style with my hair and yeah...
The photo isn't the best but I hope you can guess what the result should be.
Maybe you can notice it in the outfit picture, too.

So first we passed the sports area and played in the pinball section!

I really love this old game, very famous in the 1980s!
We even could play the Star Trek one!! ♥

After that we went through the section of the public service.

Then we came back again I took a look into an ambulance and had a nice talk with the guy there.

Viki and I also tried out the driving simulator from the police.
Driving with alcohol really is scary...
It was just 0,5 per mille but the reaction was already so bad...

Incredible and scary!!

We passed by the poster stall.

I couldn't resist and bought two "old fashioned" posters.

You know I really love the American movies from the 1950s-1960s.
Audrey Hepburn, Cary Grant, Fred Astaire... and I love the locations they shot the films - esp. France/Paris.

Then we stopped at a Bollywood stall and well... just wanted to try out the Bollywood look.

We both decided that isn't something for us, since our faces are not so edgy but too round.
But nevertheless it was fun to let someone make you up, put some accessories on and get a photo.

Afterwards you were allowed to draw a lot - and I happily get the number "1", so I could choose a DVD for free!!

I decided to take the classical "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham" (In guten wie in schweren Tagen) and am looking forward to watch it.

I'm not into Bollywood at all but from time to time it's pretty funny.

The lifestyle area was pretty big and there were many other things to do... but the queues were too much...

I really would have liked to change my hairstyle or makeup by pros but it was just too long to wait because ALL girls wanted to do this.

Of course. ;)

We walked to the Asia area which was pretty small but had some nice features.

We tried out a bit of Taekwondo, ate some Vietnamese and Japanese stuff, Viki bought a One Piece gatchapon and I sang with an unknown girl one of my favourite 2NE1 songs.

We were surprised that there weren't any cosplayer at all.
Usually you have a lot of them around a convention, doesn't matter if it's about Anime & Manga or not.

Stopping by the Music & Dance area we watched the final part of a cool dance performance of the Flying Steps - I really love this academy!!

And thanks to the fact that we are from Berlin we get the chance to have a free training!

The last stop was the education corner.
In comparison to the lifestyle area it was pretty empty here.

We checked a truck of the Bundesregierung where you could take a picture in front of a speakers desk but then we were told that you also could give a 60sec speech which will be cut together with all the other ones and send to the government.

I graped the opportunity and talked about our healthcare system and the working conditions for the people who work there.
As a nursing student it's pretty obvious for me that we need better working conditions...

I really hope that they will listen to this.

WE MET A LOT OF ZOMBIES. <3

These were the only "cosplayer" so far and they were... pretty cool.

We just needed to take a photo!

Chocolate Biscuits

I was in the mood to make some chocolate waffles. ♥

I really love cookies and biscuits with chocolate but if you don't have any at home... why don't do it yourself?
It's pretty easy since it's only melting chocolate but here's the recipe anyways:

Chocolate Biscuits

☆*ﾟ ゜ﾟ*☆*ﾟ ゜ﾟ*

☆ Ingredients ☆

☆ for a portion

cookies, biscuits or anything else you want

200g chocolate coating

decorations

☆ How to make ☆

☆ Prepare your chocolate coating

1. Cut the chocolate in very small pieces. The melting is faster and more regular if the pieces are small

2. Add the chocolate into a small bowl which fits in a saucepan

3. Add water in the saucepan (The bowl should not sink into it! If you have water mixed with the coating you can throw it away!)

4. Put the bowl in the saucepan

5. Heat it around 50-60°C, not more (It should be middle heat)

6. Wait until the coating is totally melted

7. Pull it away from the range

You can add vanilla flavour if you want to have some special taste.

I recommend this since white chocolate is extremly sweet and having some extra taste isn't wrong at all.

Or you may should use much more savoury cookies and biscuits. ^^

☆ Finish your biscuits

1. Take the buiscuits, cookies, ... and dip them into the coating

2. Decorate the chocolate biscuits with the decoration stuff

☆ If it's a present, don't forget to wrap it nicely!
