Recipe: Potato Pastry (Kartoffeltaschen)

Hey Gals!

Since a few days I try to make some dishes with spinach and after having some couscous with it and boiled potatoes I tried another one.
This recipe is pretty easy and takes maybe around an hour. You can add anything you like to fill the Potato Pastry - this one here consists of leaf spinach and cream cheese.

calories of this serving
 ~40cal spinach, ~24cal cream cheese, ~120cal potatoes

☆ Ingredients

 for one person

4-5 floury potatoes
2-3 tbsp. flour
1/2 tbsp. cornflour
3-4 tbsp. water
some spinach (I take frosted leaf spinach)
cream cheese (I always use the light ones with 3% fat)

☆ How to make

☆ Prepare the potatoes - peel them and boil them with some salt

☆ Prepare the spinach - defrost and cook the spinach as it's described
(if not: just add some oil in a sauce pan and the frosted spinach, too and cook it, until it's defrosted and therefore parted)

☆ Prepare the batter

1. Rice the potatoes until you have a fine mixture
2. Add the flour, water and cornflour and knead the mixture
3.
Preheat the oven ~160-180°C
4. Put some baking paper on the baking plate
5. Give a small serving of the pastry on the baking paper, then add some cream cheese and finally some spinach on it. Afterwards you have to add some more pastry on it to "close" the whole thing (like a "Maultasche") - Repeat these steps with the rest of the pastry.
6. Bake it around 20 minutes. The Potato Pastry should be golden brown and still fluffy if you poke into it.
